Exams are soon to be over, and summer will then commence. Unlike last summer where I just worked all summer and took only five days of vacation, I will be making this summer more productive, and I will be taking more holidays.
I have decided to learn how to play the guitar over the course of this summer. I have hijacked my father's hippy twelve string that he bought sometime in the seventies, and really hasn't touched since that time. It is complete with rusted strings (which I will need to replace), and a fantastically gay looking painting of a hummingbird, some butterflies, and flowers on the pick guard... I shall have to take nail polish remover to it to eradicate that problem. Its a rather nice looking guitar (minus the painting), so I did a little research on it and found out that it is a Japanese knock-off of a Gibson... Ah well, as long as it plays well and sounds half decent under control of my nimble fingers, it shall serve its purpose just fine.
I have also bought new running shoes and shorts, and plan on running in the mornings, rather than watching television until whatever hour of the morning, and then sleeping until noon or mid afternoon. The days I have gone running so far have just left me sore and partially winded, but I'm sure that will pass with time.
Over Canada Day I hope to visit beautiful Vancouver where my aunt and uncle reside. I was going to fly out there, but flights aren't the cheapest things to purchase these days, so I will be taking a road trip with my mother.
Going on the theme of road trips… a friend and myself made the impromptu decision to take a road trip out to Seattle in August. We have a couple of other people potentially interested in going. The aforementioned friend was excited to see Tooth & Nail Records, and was ignorant of basically all the cultural attractions that Seattle holds. Such as the first Starbucks… or the Space Needle… or the boardwalk… or Pike Place urban market… or the Seattle music project and museum… and on the list goes…
This is the plan anyways... things always change... are always changing. We'll see what holds together.

I'm not going to lie; Tooth & Nail is one of the main reasons that I want to go to Seattle too. And the boardwalk.
I hope you guys can come with us!
