Don't Screw With My Friends

I finally quit *that other* job that I was working casual part-time. I walked out. They decided to deal with one of my co-workers (also a friend) in an inappropriate and unprofessional manner, of which, I have absolutely no patience for. My shift was nearly over, so I informed the manager that I would not be returning, and if she required my resignation in writing, that I would be happy to provide it for her.

There has been many issues that have arose and been resolved over my four years with that company, but I had reached the end of my proverbial rope when they decided to mess around with one of my friends. That is where the line is drawn. I don't need to work for people who exercise the extent of their authority for their own personal gratification. Also, I am not a child, so do not speak to me, or treat me as if I am one. The manager should have gone on maternity leave a little sooner than she is going to be.

Upon relaying the day's events to another friend and co-worker, she too, made the decision to quit. So as a day's record, the company lost: 1 by firing, and 2 by resulting voluntary resignation. I hope they are good and pleased with themselves, tickled silly to the core of their fuzzy, warm hearts.

Did you just quit today?

Mel and I were discussing you working there yesterday when we went in quickly. We both thought that you must've quit so that's really weird that you actually did.
